Diane Freeland, certified wedding planner and the driving force behind Events of Sophistication got her start in event planning more than 20 years ago as an administrative assistant at the Greater Baltimore Committee (GBC), an organization that plays an integral role in the development of Baltimore City’s business community.

     Diane was instrumental in the planning of small and large events for members of various corporations and organizations where attendance ranged from 20 to more than 200. The events included seminars, welcome receptions, luncheons, including the annual Orioles luncheon, Flag Day events and GBC’s annual business meeting.

     After moving in another direction professionally, but still assisting in planning weddings for friends, Diane is returning to her first love, planning fabulous events, thus, the creation of Events of Sophistication.

     In addition to her wedding planner certification, Diane possesses a Bachelor of Science Degree in Legal Studies. She is a member of the Association of Bridal Consultants.
